Tweed Topcoat + Studded Heels
I hope everybody had a Merry Christmas and a fun NYE! This year, Christmas consisted of lots of traveling, as it will every year from now on! We started my break from work by having the Hayes siblings over, then we drove down to Riley, Indiana to celebrate Christmas Eve with the Hayes family! Early Christmas morning, we drove up to Saint Charles, IL, where we spent Christmas Day with my family! Every year, we’re going to split holidays up and do the best we can with seeing everybody! It makes it especially difficult with Jacob and me living in Wisconsin, my family living in Illinois, and his family living in Indiana.
As for NYE, I worked at the hospital and Jacob worked until about 9 pm. At midnight, he actually came to the hospital so I wouldn’t miss my 2018 New Year’s kiss! Seriously, how adorable is he?! I was so excited when he told me he was there. I was bummed that I couldn’t spend our entire first New Year’s Eve together, but I’m thankful we got all of Christmas together! With all of his traveling in the past few months, those five days together were seriously THE BEST.
Anyway, this Christmas consisted of LOTS of new clothes for me! I totally needed a wardrobe upgrade, and that’s exactly what I got! My clothes mostly came from J. Crew, Banana Republic, Zara, and Express! I’ll be uploading more posts with different outfits that I got for Christmas! As always, if you have any suggestions, let me know!
This coat is from J.Crew Factory. If you don’t already shop at outlet stores, you’re missing out BIG TIME! Why pay full price when you can buy the exact same brand for cheaper? This coat is now on sale, too! Like HUGE sale, actually. It’s originally $258, on sale for $129, AND you get an extra 60% off of that — WHAT?!?
This J. Crew coat runs TTS. I’m wearing a 0. I’m 5’7, if it gives you an idea of how it will be on you! It’s form fitting, but totally comfortable! Right when I saw this coat in store, my eyes lit up, and my grandma grabbed it out of my hands to buy it for me. She’s the best. It was 0 degrees and windy when we shot this and my body was okay, which means the coat does the job! But my hands were a totally different story.
These shoes are originally from Von Maur, but you can also get them from Macy’s! I’m wearing an 8 and they run TTS! The studs at the bottom give it an edgy look, which I’ve never seen with a heel before. Totally cute!
My clutch was also a gift from Zara! Jacob killed it on this gift! He found it himself, too! I’m using it as a clutch, but it’s really a “crossbody wallet.” It also has a gold strap for over-the-shoulder that attaches to the loop! It’s such a game changer!! It’s a great bag to go out with! Because really, you only need your phone, debit card, and ID when you go out anyways, right?! This way, you don’t have to carry a big bag around a crammed bar. I found this clutch on Ebay, too, so I’m linking it below!
What do you guys think about this outfit?!
