MONDAY THOUGHTS

Monday Thoughts

Happy Monday!!! Yes, from now on, that’s how I’m starting my post on Mondays. I’m going to start a Motivational Monday-type post called “Monday Thoughts.” At the end of every post, I’m going to attach a video or a quote to kick start your week! This week’s video is a new song that I just found last night! These posts are going to be for people who need a little extra push to get their week started — AKA everybody.

Mondays are hard. I find myself dreading the end of the weekend, unless it’s my weekend that I’m working  (when I’m counting it down because I’m off work Monday). I wish I wasn’t like that. I’m always wishing for the next thing to happen — waiting for something better to happen.

But isn’t that kind of how everybody is? Wishing something away so something better would get there faster? Then do it again for the week after that. And then, we wonder why the years are going by so dang fast. They are because we literally wish them away. Wishing the week away for the weekend. Wishing these winter months away so summer could get here sooner. The list goes on and on and on!

We need to stop doing this. The first six months of our marriage has FLOWN by! I definitely don’t want it going even faster! But it’s going to be really hard to do. Honestly, nobody wants to go to work. We all love the weekend because it means we get to spend it with our loved ones.

But GREAT things happen during the week. We ACCOMPLISH tasks that we’re proud of at work. We TACKLE issues and solve them. We HELP people at work. We REACH our goals during the week.

So this week, let’s not wish things away. Let’s enjoy the moment and live every second!

What do you struggle with the most on Mondays?

Xoxo,

Taylor

  1. Really enjoyed reading this. These lines, “They are because we literally wish them away. Wishing the week away for the weekend. Wishing these winter months away so summer could get here sooner. The list goes on and on and on!” really stood out to me! How true!! We all need to be living more present in the moment. xx Vee inloveandlacebyee.com

  2. Loved this! Wishing away the days, and wondering where the years go… AMEN!
The more gratitude we can find in each day, the sweeter our days and years feel. xx
